…The right to bear arms
I know this answer will not be popular, and since we still practice freedom of Speech (I hope) I’ll voice it.
As a woman living in a city where the carrying of a concealed handgun is not permitted, I can attest to the perceived risk of being mugged, assaulted or held-up at gun point being very real. I can also testify to the fact that the muggers, criminals and law breakers are generally carrying concealed weapons. These guns are illegal and unlicensed of course, but definitely put the victims of crimes at a sure disadvantage.
Isn’t it ironic, that crime rates, homicide and home invasions are highest in the cities where the gun laws are so stringent that the victims are sitting ducks?
